Senthil Balaji court custody extended till Sep 15..!?

Minister Senthil balaji was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on june 14 in the illegal transaction case. The madras Principal Session ordered him to be remanded in judicial custody. Accordingly, he has been lodged in Puzhal Jail, Chennai. Earlier, the supreme court had dismissed the appeals filed by Senthil Balaji's wife against two cases of recruitment and illegal arrest and allowed the enforcement department to remand him for 5 days and interrogate him. Subsequently, with the permission of the madras Principal Sessions court, Senthil balaji was taken into custody and interrogated by the Enforcement Department from august 8 to 12. Thereafter, Senthil balaji was produced in the madras Principal Court. On the same day, the enforcement department filed a charge sheet of more than 120 pages and 3,000 pages of documents against him. Subsequently, the madras Principal Sessions court transferred the Enforcement Directorate's case against minister Senthil balaji to a special court to hear cases of mp MLAs.
 
Meanwhile, he was remanded in judicial custody till august 25, which was extended by 3 more days. Accordingly, as Senthil Balaji's judicial custody ended today, he was produced in a special court that hears cases involving MPs and MLAs. He had also demanded that he be given a copy of the charge sheet and the documents related to the case. Special court judge ravi, who heard the case, extended Senthil Balaji's judicial custody till september 15. The judge said that next time Senthil balaji should not be produced in person, it is enough to produce him through video. He was also given a copy of the charge sheet.
 
Accordingly, the special court directed Senthil balaji to approach the Principal Sessions court, chennai and seek bail. Special court Judge ravi has directed Senthil balaji to approach the Principal Sessions court saying that even if he files a bail plea, he cannot hear it.
