The Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme, launched by chief minister Stalin, was initially implemented in 1,545 schools and was extended to all government primary schools in all urban areas and rural areas in tamil Nadu a few days ago. chief minister Stalin inaugurated the expansion of Chief Minister's Breakfast Program at panchayat Union Middle school, Tirukuwela, Nagapattinam District. Through this, 15.75 lakh students studying in 31,008 government primary schools in all urban and rural areas of tamil Nadu are benefiting.


The Chief Minister's breakfast program, which is a pioneer for the entire country, is very well received by school going children and their parents. In the breakfast plan, small grains are served along with upluma, kichadi and pongal. That is, food consisting of rava, semiya, small grains, pulses and vegetables is served. Meanwhile, a newspaper ran a headline criticizing the plan. In it, the front page banner news is published with the title of double meals for students, overflowing kakkoos. Various parties are condemning this.

The DMK has been protesting by burning the news paper which has defamed the breakfast scheme for poor students. Dravidar Kazhagam and leftist organizations are also involved in the struggle. The May 17 Movement has called for a blockade of its headquarters in Chennai. DYFI has called for a press burning protest.
