How to exchange Rs 2000 notes in Telangana Hyderabad as last date nears

Withdrawal of Rs 2000 notes

Even though the RBI had intended to discontinue manufacturing Rs 2000 notes in May 2023, production has already ceased during the 2018–19 fiscal year. The total value of all Rs 2000 notes in circulation declined from Rs 6.73 lakh crore to Rs 3.62 lakh crore by march 31, 2023, accounting for just 10.8% of all notes in circulation. According to the new RBI regulations, banks may exchange up to ten Rs 2000 banknotes in a single transaction for up to Rs 20,000 for each account holder.


Bank Holidays in Hyderabad

It's crucial to remember that banks will be closed for eight days in september since swaps of denomination notes can be done there. On Sundays and the second saturday of each month, banks are closed. In addition, banks will be closed in hyderabad on september 7th, september 18th, and september 28th in observance of Janmashtami, Vinayaka Chaturthi, and Eid-E-Milad, respectively.
