Will Patta be given to those who are living for more than 30 years?

As per report there was a commotion in Puduvai when the police stopped the people of the Narikuruvar tribe who tried to enter the assembly to meet the chief minister by asking for free house leases. A large number of foxes live in the paddy field behind a private soap company in Madagadipattal, Tiruppuvanai block, Puducherry. The government had announced that they will be given land titles to those who have been living there for more than 30 years. A promise was made during the election. However, no lease was issued. At this stage the foxes gathered in front of the assembly premises with their children and empty cans in their hands. Seeing this, the assembly guards stopped them. Because of this, the foxes got into an argument with the police. They have been living for more than 30 years and have not been given a lease as promised. We are suffering without basic facilities in the sun and rain.


Furthermore they insisted that we should be allowed to meet the Chief Minister. But the chief minister is not in the assembly. The guards said that he would get permission and let him in as soon as he arrived. The foxes were waiting at the entrance gate of Bharathipunga, saying that they would wait until the chief minister arrived. The police told them not to stop there and to go inside Bharathipunga and wait. As they refused and argued, there was a commotion for a while. The police pacified them and sent them inside the park. There they were waiting for the arrival of the Chief Minister. But as the chief minister did not come, they went back disappointed.
