Very Heavy Rainfall recorded in erstwhile Telangana Karimnagar

Some areas of the former karimnagar district had extremely heavy rains on Monday. Rainfall totals of 128.5 mm in Asifnagar, kothapalli of karimnagar district, 128.5 mm in Illanthakunta, and 153.5 mm in Peddalingapuram, Ellanthakunta of Rajanna-Sircilla district were the next highest. Kanukula in sultanabad mandal had 116.8 mm, followed by Jaggasagar of Metpalli mandal with 117.8 mm.

Meanwhile, heavy rainfall was reported in Ailapur of korutla mandal at 115.0 mm, Kandikatkoor of Ellanthakunta mandal with 115.0, Mallapur of jagtial with 111.3, Suglampalli of sultanabad mandal with 109.0, Veernapalli of Rajanna-Sircilla with 109.0, Godhuru of Ibrahimpatnam mandal with 106.0, Kunaram of Srirampur mandal with 103.3, korutla with 98.5, Nerella of Thangallapalli mandal with 97.0 and Kalvacherla of Ramagiri mandal with 96.3mm.

Low-lying regions were drowned as a result of the nonstop rain that fell over the past 24 hours, despite the fact that nearly all water bodies were full to capacity. Flood water also entered a few communities in karimnagar town, flooding parts of Adarshanagar, Mutyalawada, prakasam Road, and Bilalpur in korutla town. Most of the areas are flooded and waterlogging problems are troubling the local residents. There are also frequent powercuts due to the heavy rainfall.
