Telangana Hyderabad - More gates of Osman Sagar, Himayat Sagar opened
Due to catastrophic flooding brought on by the area's abundant rainfall, traffic on the Begumpet-Balkampet bridge in hyderabad has been stopped. Mayor Vijayalaxmi Gadwal personally checked out the area next to the bridge, which was completely submerged in water, and encouraged local officials to address the water stagnation problem as quickly as possible.
The twin reservoirs, Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar, on the musi river, were getting massive inflows as a result of the nonstop rain, so authorities opened 12 floodgates to let the water downstream. Rain has been falling in the city since Monday. Osman Sagar's six gates were opened by the hyderabad Metro Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) for a two-foot release of water. At 1 p.m. on Tuesday, the inflows were 1,500 cusecs and the outflows were 1,380 cusecs.
Osman Sagar's water level was 1,789.20 feet as opposed to 1,790 feet for the full tank. Due to the severe rain, Himayat Sagar is also seeing massive upstream inflows. Officials said that there were 4,000 inflows into the reservoir. 4,120 cusecs were released downstream when six crest gates were opened. Himayat Sagar's water level rose to its full tank level (FTL), which is 1,763.50. The officials have warned residents who live along the river's banks and in regions near its bed after the twin reservoirs' gates were opened. The river runs through the city.
Greater hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) employees were instructed by hyderabad Mayor Vijayalaxmi Gadwal to inform locals in the Musi region. On the banks of the musi river in some parts of Chaderghat, residents were encouraged to relocate to safe regions. The Hussain Sagar lake in the centre of the city was being attentively watched by ghmc authorities in the meanwhile. Hussain Sagar's inflow of water reached a height of 513.42 meters, almost to the full tank level.

Low-lying regions were reportedly flooded in many city neighbourhoods and surrounding areas.
