Vinod Verma’s connection with Chandra Bhushan Verma...
Let us tell you that earlier on august 23, on the birthday of chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, ED raided
Vinod Verma's house. Since then, the action in the online betting Mahadev app case in chhattisgarh was
intensified and 4 people have been arrested by the ED. An ASI Chandrabhushan Verma has also been
arrested in this. Apart from this, the ED has claimed that its relations are related to Vinod Verma, political
advisor to chief minister Bhupesh Baghel. Apart from this, it is alleged that huge amount used to come
every month through hawala from Dubai. Which Chandrabhushan Verma was distributing as 'protection
money' to senior police officers and leaders politically associated with the Chief Minister's Office. The ED
said that till now ASI Chandrabhushan Verma had received about Rs 65 crore in cash.
Vinod Verma had called ED's raid a robbery
Vinod Verma has rejected ED's allegations. Vinod Verma has accused the ED of loot and dacoity in a press
conference on 24th August. He had said that ED people have taken Rs 2 lakh 55 thousand 300 in cash from
my house. They searched every corner of the house, opened the envelopes which were found in my son's
marriage and took away all the money but did not calculate it. But my son had kept the complete proof of
these envelopes on email. How much money was found in which envelope and who gave it. After this he
said that you are not able to satisfy me. So what is the motive of the officer who has come to raid your
house? This has become more important. Instead, what proof is he asking for? I have given proof of
everything they wanted. You have all your papers in your house, it is proved, after that they are saying give
proof. So the question is, what can it be called now other than extortion and dacoity?
court sent 4 accused to jail in Mahadev App case
Significantly, in this case, ED along with ASI Chandra bhushan Verma, Satish Chandrakar, businessmen
Anil and sunil Dammani were presented in the special court of Raipur. After this, the court has sent these
four to jail for 10 days in judicial remand. The next hearing will be held on 15th September. Apart from this,
the court has issued non-bailable warrants against Saurabh Chandrakar and ravi Uppal, the directors of the
Mahadev app. Both these accused are abroad.
