Telangana - Arogya Mahila scheme to be expanded
Another 100 locations will be added to administer the weekly special clinics for women, strengthening the crucial Arogya Mahila project that chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao introduced in March. T Harish Rao, the health minister, gave authorities instructions on thursday to open the extra 100 clinics on september 12. The Arogya Mahila program is now administered out of 272 centers.
Every tuesday of the week, Arogya Mahila clinics are held, and the health department is doing several laboratory tests as part of early diagnosis. Eight key medical services are offered by these facilities, which only hire female medical professionals. 13,673 people who needed medical assistance and were swiftly sent to hospitals by these committed healthcare professionals were among the 278,317 people who have been screened thus far.
