Has JDU made a plan to develop Punaura Dham to counter BJP?

Amid reports of bjp making the construction of ram temple in ayodhya an issue in next year’s Lok Sabha

elections (2024), the ruling grand alliance planned to develop the ancient Punaura Temple. Is. Nitish Kumar’s

cabinet has also approved this scheme. Punaura Dham, a famous Hindu pilgrimage site in Sitamarhi district, is

considered to be the birthplace of Goddess Sita, the wife of Lord Ram. bihar government is trying to use the

temple as a weapon to counter BJP's temple issue. In the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, Rs 72.47 crore has

been approved for this scheme.

Grand Alliance is not going to benefit from this – BJP

It is said that under the development scheme of Punaura Dham temple of Sitamarhi district, 'Sita Vatika', 'Lav-

Kush Vatika', cafeteria, landscaping road and other constructions will be done. bjp spokesperson Rakesh Kumar

Singh says that the Grand Alliance will not get any benefit from this. The people of the country know that

because of these people ram Lalla was in a tent for years. After the formation of majority government of bjp,


the work of building a grand temple in ayodhya has not only started but will also be completed by the month of

January.

nitish kumar has worked for everyone – JDU

bjp spokesperson said that nitish kumar has talked many times about developing Punaura Dham, but nothing

has happened till now. At the same time, JDU General Secretary Rajiv Ranjan says that nitish kumar has

worked for everyone. Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christian. The plan to develop Punaura Dham has nothing to do

with politics. bjp does politics on temples and mosques and promotes communal tension. It is noteworthy that

bihar minister Bijendra prasad Yadav had raised questions recently and said that the central government did

not pay attention to developing the birthplace of Goddess Sita like Lord Ram.
