Telangana Hyderabad - Manholes, Potholes continue to haunt Nizampet residents

The Nizampet Municipal Corporation (NMC), one of the city's fastest-growing suburbs, has a greater manhole and pothole problem. Another name for it is the third-richest urban local government. The most tragic aspect is that the municipality lacks essential public services. Even after the recent rains, authorities have not repaired potholes and manholes. The event involving the four-year-old youngster who was swept away exposed the municipal staff's careless behavior.

Since the boy's body was discovered in a manhole, it has been more than three days. However, manholes are left exposed, and the NMC has several pothole-filled lanes. There have been other significant collisions; just last month, a school bus traveling too fast crushed and killed an eight-year-old youngster. local locals claim that even after that, officials did not bother to fix the roadways. local resident Sai teja stated, "Using the roads is difficult for Nizampet locals every day. Recently, a youngster fell into an open sewer, which was a touching occurrence. The responsible officials did not cover the drains even after the terrible tragedy.

The commissioner must be consulted on every issue in this municipality, which is a major downside because other younger officers don't seem to care as much about finding solutions. Be it an interior road or a main route, it has turned into an eyesore for commuters, claimed B Srinivas, a different local. Forget about walking down the length; it is difficult to do so since it is covered in mud and runoff. In addition, the lanes are not sufficiently lit. Every rainstorm does further harm to the entire route. Numerous requests for NMC to fix the roads have been made, but no coordinated action has yet been implemented. They temporarily protect it with sand whenever it rains. It is washed away by rain.

Many tragic incidents have happened in the past two months as a result of terrible roads and open nala, according to a local named Sunil. For the residents, the roads and nalas have turned into death traps. We've frequently posted about problems without getting any help from relevant officials. It is past time for them to take action and carpet the roads and nalas.
