Many shopkeepers in telangana have been complaining of low business, if not losses, as a result of the severe rains that have been falling there since July. In July and August, the state had very severe rainfall, which resulted in unprecedented street flooding. Even on weekends, travelers avoided the markets due to downpours as they stayed home.

"Over the last two months, shoppers avoided the marketplaces. Syed Shaukat, a cloth seller in Pathergatti, said, "We did not record excellent business over the months and found it difficult to control the expenditures. people come from all over the nation to the marketplaces at Pathergatti, Madina Building, gulzar Houz, and Charminar. Additionally, domestic visitors visit and shop. people chose not to travel over weekends and holidays due to persistent alerts and severe rains, which cost companies money.

"Instead of closing at the usual time of 10 p.m. on rainy days, markets closed early at 8 p.m. So once more, the late-night market was hurt, said Mohd Mohsin, a vendor at Laad Bazaar Bangle Market. Other reasons why people choose to avoid the area include traffic slowdowns and lengthy traffic jams brought on by poor road conditions. "People increasingly use google Maps to check traffic conditions. When people notice the city's traffic is chaotic, they just abandon their plans to go shopping, according to Wajahat Hussain, a vendor at gulzar Houz.

From Nayapul intersection to Shahalibanda, there are about 4,000 stores and 2,000 small-time vendors operating along the length. local vendors or pushcart sellers who make a living by peddling small goods on the streets are those who are most impacted. Nayeem, a vendor of women's accessories near Charminar, said, "On some days, we just took home Rs. 200 while we managed to earn Rs. 600 to Rs. 700 a day on a good business day."
