AIADMK is a party respected by all religions: Sellur Raja
Reportedly former minister Sellur Raju has said that an ayodhya preacher's offer of Rs 10 crores if Udayanidhi Stalin's head is brought is not violence, it is emotional turmoil. On the occasion of the 152nd birth anniversary of the sailing tamil V.U.Chithambaranar, former minister Sellur Raju at the V.U.C. in Simmakkal area of Madurai. On behalf of the AIADMK, the idol was garlanded and paid respects. Later, Sellur Raju gave an interview to the media. At that time, the reporters questioned what his opinion was regarding Udhayanidhi's talk about Stalin's sanathanam and ayodhya preacher's threatening speech to Udhayanidhi.
He replied, “I don't want to go into the concept of Sanatanam. AIADMK is a movement where people of all religions are treated equally. AIADMK is a party respected by all religions. There are no caste-religious differences in AIADMK," he said. Later, Sellur Raju said about ayodhya preacher's speech, "Sadhus are talking to such an extent. I don't consider it as violence. This is my personal opinion." Ayodhya-based preacher Paramahamsa acharya announced on monday that he would pay Rs 10 crore if Udayanidhi's head is brought. Udayanidhi replied, 10 rupees is enough to shave my head. He joked that he would comb it himself.
On behalf of the DMK, the DMK held a demonstration in several parts of tamil Nadu condemning the ayodhya preacher. Meanwhile, the preacher has said that if 10 crore rupees is not enough for Udhayanidhi's head, he will give more money and he can only shave if he has his head.
