A road in hayathnagar has collapsed as a result of Hyderabad's frequent rains. Following the event, the neighbourhood had heavy traffic. The enormous crater was surrounded by a perimeter in order to avoid any unforeseen consequences. For commuters, it was a major nuisance. Although the precise cause of the road's collapse is still unclear, it is thought that Hyderabad's regular rains played a role in the disaster.

IMD forecasts rainfall in hyderabad today

Rain is expected in the city today, according to the Hyderabad-based india Meteorological Department (IMD). It is expected that all six of the city's zones will get mild to moderate rainfall. Up until september 15, the weather service had not issued any warnings. On the other hand, it has anticipated thundershowers with strong spells for september 16 and has issued a yellow alert for that day.

The agency has predicted thunderstorms, lightning, squalls, and other weather events throughout the whole state. This prediction is valid through september 15. Heavy rain is predicted to occur in the state on september 16 and 17. telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) reports that the majority of hyderabad saw mild rain yesterday. Rainfall in hayatnagar totaled 7.8 millimetres. In hyderabad, where it has been raining nonstop, some of the city's already-damaged roadways are now endangering passengers.


Rains pose threat due to poor condition of roads in hyderabad, other districts

Telangana has had an abundance of rain during the current monsoon season. In comparison to the typical rainfall of 642.6 mm, the state had an average rainfall of 778.8 mm. Rajanna sircilla and medak districts of the state saw the largest rainfall variation, at 54%, out of the 33 districts.


Hyderabad has also had above-average precipitation so far this season. In contrast to the average rainfall of 522.4 mm, the city had an average rainfall of 655.5 mm. Shaikpet recorded the largest rainfall variation in the city, at 49%. Although rainfall in hyderabad and other telangana districts helps locals avoid the extreme heat and also helps to lower food prices in the region, it also puts motorists at risk because of the state's inadequate road infrastructure.
