SC gives important instructions to Assembly Speaker

The supreme court on monday (September 18) asked the maharashtra Assembly Speaker to hear the

petitions related to the disqualification of MLAs associated with chief minister Eknath Shinde next week. In

this hearing, he should decide the time limit for disposal of the case. The supreme court posted the matter for

hearing after two weeks and asked the Speaker's office to inform them about the steps taken by it that day.

The court said that the disqualification case cannot remain pending indefinitely. uddhav thackeray group

leader sunil Prabhu has filed a petition in the supreme Court. In this petition, it has been said that despite the

court's order of May 11, the Speaker's office did not expedite the hearing on the disqualification of Shinde

camp MLAs. Meanwhile, on the delay in decision on the disqualification petitions of shiv sena MLAs, CJI

DY Chandrachud said, "The Speaker should respect the dignity of the supreme Court."

There is also a case against giving the name and symbol of shiv sena to Eknath Shinde

election symbol to Eknath Shinde. Chief Justice DY Chandrachud has said that the case will be heard after 3

weeks. uddhav thackeray has demanded to cancel the decision of the election commission in the petition

filed in the supreme Court. He has said that it is wrong to call the disunity in the legislative party as the

disunity of the party.
