Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman made an important announcement about GST in the Rajya Sabha. Speaking in the rajya sabha today, Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, “We have also paid the dues of the states. At least one month, two months advance payment. We have paid the advance in three installments. No state has to pay due to GST. Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman looked very irritated and agitated after hearing such allegations against her ministry. In the rajya sabha, mallikarjun Kharge said that he was giving wrong information. 


"No state owes a penny in GST," he said. Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman made this demand in the rajya sabha on the first day of the session at the new parliament building. rajya sabha Leader of Opposition Mallikarjuna Kharge on the first day of the session complained that GST is not being paid on time in many states at the Naya Sangsad Bhavan. 100 days of work was not paid. Opposition leaders in the rajya sabha raised their voice against the Center for trying to weaken the states. Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman strongly objected to Mallikarjuna Kharge's comment.
