National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval has come to meet home minister amit shah on Wednesday

(September 20). Their meeting is taking place in the office located in Parliament. Quoting sources it has been

learned that the issue of internal security is being discussed in this meeting.

This meeting is being considered important amid the ongoing tension between india and canada over

Khalistan supporters. In fact, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau openly alleged in parliament that the agents of the

indian government were involved in the murder of Khalistan supporter Hardeep Singh Nijjar. india has given

a strong reaction on this. After this a meeting took place between prime minister Narendra Modi and Foreign

minister S Jaishankar. Earlier also during the G-20 summit held in delhi, Ajit Doval had raised the issue of

Khalistan extremism with his counterparts.

canada had asked for cooperation

Additionally, canada had asked its allies, including the United States, to publicly condemn the killing. On

this, the Biden administration rejected Trudeau's proposal. An indian diplomat in Ottawa was expelled after

Trudeau made allegations in Parliament. In response, New delhi also expelled a Canadian diplomat. india has

called Trudeau's allegations absurd.

What did india say?

The indian government issued a statement on tuesday (September 19) saying, “The allegations try to divert

attention from Khalistan terrorists and extremists. These people have been granted asylum in canada and

remain a threat to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of India. Canada's inaction on this issue has been a

matter of continuing concern for a long time.
