Fight over Bidhuri's remark and Kamal Haasan versus Sanatan...
After drawing criticism for smiling during bjp mp Ramesh Bidhuri's offensive comments directed at BSP mp Danish ali in the Lok Sabha, former health minister harsh vardhan has responded. Vardhan, an mp from chandni Chowk in Delhi, vehemently denied using offensive language towards the Muslim community. He expressed sadness and embarrassment in a post about how "vested political elements" on social media had brought his name up in the debate. He clarified that due to the noise in the Lok Sabha, he was unable to understand what was being said during the conversation. Vardhan, a chandni Chowk native, expressed his gratitude to the Muslim community for its support of him in his election as an MP. A show-cause notice was issued to Bidhuri by the bjp after the incident, and Danish ali moved a privilege motion. There were calls for action against Bidhuri. In response to the Sanatan controversy started by tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, actor and politician kamal haasan said on friday that Udhayanidhi is being pursued simply because he mentioned Sanatan. According to kamal haasan, Periyar is the reason that everyone is familiar with the word "sanatan." No other state, and certainly no political party, can lay claim to Periyar. We all learned about the term "Sanatan" thanks to Periyar. He had previously performed temple service. He had 'tilak' on his forehead and was performing 'puja' in Varanasi.Imagine the level of rage he must have felt tossing all that aside and working for the people, realising that this was the biggest service. That is how he had always lived. Periyar is not the property of the DMK or any other party. kamal haasan stated that tamil Nadu could celebrate Periyar as its own.
