Laxman says KTR tying to project BJP as anti-Telangana

K Laxman, a member of the bjp in the Rajya Sabha, claimed on wednesday that BRS Working President and minister of Information technology KT Rama Rao was misrepresenting prime minister Narendra Modi's remarks about the establishment of telangana in the parliament and attempting to portray the bjp as an anti-Telangana party.
The nda administration formed the three new States of Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, and jharkhand amicably, according to the prime minister, but the UPA government created telangana in a way that caused much angst among residents of both States. Rama Rao attempted to deceive the public by claiming that Modi was disparaging the efforts of the telangana people when the prime minister was making reference to the 1200 deaths brought on by the previous congress administration. Laxman also asserted that the bjp had backed the Bill in the parliament and had campaigned for the creation of a separate Telangana.
The top brass of the bjp has convened a meeting just after certain senior telangana party members and newcomers voiced major discontent with the party's strategy towards opponents, particularly BRS, and the state assembly elections. Prakash Javadekar, who is in charge of the telangana election, updated the party leadership on the recent turmoil in the telangana unit, including purported separate meetings held by some officials amid escalating dissatisfaction inside the party.
