Why KTR refused Permission for Protests against the Arrest of Naidu? Revanth asks
Revanth reddy claimed that residents of ap origin in hyderabad have the right to vote, pay taxes to the government, and are thus entitled to protest about problems that are important to them. He emphasised that NRIs from telangana attended protests in support of telangana outside the white house in the US during the telangana statehood movement, and they were not refused permission since the subject had a connection to India.
Revanth indicated that the party's high leadership is open to deviating from the "one family, one ticket" rule on a case-by-case basis, based on the candidates' chances of winning, with regard to ticket distribution for congress candidates in the 2018 elections. He gave the example of malkajgiri MLA Mynampally Hanumantha Rao, who asked the high command for a seat for his son Rohith and received it.
Revanth reassured that the party is dedicated to ensuring appropriate representation for OBCs, SCs, and STs in response to requests from OBC leaders within congress for quota participation in ticket distribution for assembly elections. The Central election Committee (CEC), he added, would convene shortly to decide on candidates for the telangana state assembly elections, and the names will be made public in stages.
