Repair work will start soon, PWD made this plan to avoid traffic
Since last year, construction, expansion and repair work of various flyovers is going on continuously in the
capital Delhi. In this series, now the repair work of Sarita vihar flyover is to be done, which is likely to be
started soon. In the repair of this flyover, its extensions are also to be changed, which is expected to take 50
days, as soon as the approval of which is received from the delhi government, it is possible that the repair work
will be started from next month.
The flyover was to be closed for 50 days for repairs in the month of june itself.
The Public Works Department was about to start the repair work of Sarita vihar flyover in the first week of
june, but at that time there was a stir among the people due to the information of delhi Traffic police closing
this flyover for 50 days. Since this is the main route from Badarpur, Jaitpur towards Kalindi, Kunj and New
Friends Colony or from haryana side to Central, New delhi and North delhi, people started getting worried as
to which route they should take, because Due to the closure of this flyover, there was a possibility of increasing
the traffic pressure on the busy mathura Road.
PWD minister had sent the file to the department with observation
In such a situation, when the matter came to the notice of delhi government, the government had issued an
order that no flyover would be repaired without their permission. Public Works Department (PWD) Minister
Atishi had sent the department's file back to the department along with her observations and said that the
department should first decide how people will be saved from trouble during this repair work. Only after that
the repair work can be started.
