Providing protection to any touring international cricket team is a difficult assignment, thus security professionals all throughout india take satisfaction in doing it well. One can only imagine how difficult it is to give the Pakistani cricket team, which is presently in india for the 2018 world cup, sufficient protection. The hyderabad police are providing the squad with the tightest of protection since they are stretched thin by the celebrations around the Ganesh idol immersion, which overlap with world cup warm-up games. The team arrived in hyderabad on Thursday.
The city's security personnel are working extra hard to make sure the pakistan cricket team's tour to india, which is taking place after a seven-year absence, goes without a hitch. However, for the same reason, the authorities are unable to provide proper protection, thus Friday's inaugural warm-up game for pakistan will be played without spectators. Six police vans were a part of the squad's cavalcade as it arrived at the stadium on Thursday. Together, the squad buses for pakistan and new zealand left the stadium. Even in the team hotel, nothing is left to chance.

Around 200 police officers will be needed at the stadium for the warm-up game on Friday, but when fans return on october 3, the number will rise to 800. According to a PCB source, "the team is completely satisfied with security," whether it be at the stadium or the hotel. Due to a last-minute alteration in the BCCI's schedule, hyderabad will have to host back-to-back games on october 9 and 10, adding further strain to the already overtaxed police forces. On Wednesday, the Babar Azam-led squad was greeted with cheers at the hyderabad airport before being transported to the team hotel in the center of the city amid strict security. The team will be here for almost two weeks.
