Telangana - ACB seizes 2 Crores Cash and Gold from Marriguda MRO’s house
On saturday, september 30, searches were conducted at the nalgonda home of Marriguda Tehsildar (Mandal Revenue Officer) Mahender reddy, and cash worth over Rs 2 crore was found there. During the operation, papers pertaining to immovable assets as well as kilograms of gold that were placed in iron boxes that held the currency were also found.
According to sources, searches were done as a result of suspicions that Mahender holds assets above what he makes. According to reports, searches are currently being conducted at 15 locations, including Mahender Reddy's relatives' homes. Mahender reddy, who is from Ibrahimpatnam initially, was recently moved from kandukur to Marriguda Mandal.
Manchireddy Mahender reddy, who is working as Marriguda MRO of nalgonda district, has been accused of corruption on a large scale for the past few days. As a result, acb officials conducted searches at Marriguda Tehsildar's office and his residence in Shiridi Sai Nagar, Vanasthalipuram on saturday and seized around Rs 2 crore illegal cash and huge amount of gold.
ACB officials simultaneously raided the residence of Tehsildar Manchireddy Mahender reddy and MMARO office in Marriguda. acb officials have found that MMARO Mahender reddy has cash, assets and gold in excess of his income. Officers found around Rs 2 crore cash and gold in the trunk and seized them. acb officials conducted searches in 15 places along with Mahender Reddy's family members and relatives in different areas. While Mahender reddy previously worked as kandukur Tehsildar of Rangareddy District, he was transferred to Marriguda three months ago.
However, the acb officials concluded that the illegal assets of Marriguda MMAR Mahender reddy are Rs.4.75 crores. From saturday morning, acb officials searched Mahender Reddy's residence in Hastinapuram, Shiridi Sai Nagar, Vanasthalipuram and found Rs 2.07 crore in cash and immovable property in the name of family members. Officials have recovered around Rs 2 crore cash and gold jewelery hidden in a trunk box in the house. acb officials also conducted inspections at the houses of his family members and relatives. Later, the arrested officers produced MMAR Mahender reddy in the acb court.
