Don't allow the screeching noise of bikes: Police Notice..!?
Today screens are the way to spend leisure time in the day. It is common for everyone from elders to youths and children to look at mobiles, laptops and tabs. Children also have the opportunity to do some homework on the tabs, increasing their screen time even more. It is common for seniors who come to parks for morning and evening walks to listen to songs on their mobiles. At this time ear buds are used everywhere so as not to disturb others. But, slowly the ears are losing their hearing ability due to this practice. The earphones we use for convenience are noise pollution to the ears. Noise pollution has a huge impact on hearing ability. Just like all other loud noises from vehicles honking, earphones also affect our ears. Noise can cause hearing loss or permanent hearing loss. Fine, very small hair cells in the inner ear give the ears the ability to hear. Repeated over bending and exposure to loud noises can take a heavy toll on them. Ear buds and headphones are affected by whatever is used. They need some time to recover after being exposed to noises like fireworks. When they are not given enough time and are subjected to repeated stress, these can be damaged and the ability to hear can be permanently lost.
The volume of headphones or ear buds does not have to be too high to damage the delicate hairs in the ears. In several cases, they were found to be permanently damaged even when exposed to moderate levels of sound waves continuously, experts say.
