On Monday, traffic cops sprang into action to ease the gridlock that had been plaguing kukatpally and its arterial roads ever since customers began pouring into the recently built Lulu Mall. To combat the traffic chaos that had left commuters trapped on the highways for hours, the KPHB traffic police collaborated with the law and order police and recruited the assistance of staff from five additional police stations. To oversee the operations, DCP and ACP level officers were present.
The traffic police strategically put cement bricks and barriers, clearly signaling diversions, in order to find a long-term solution to the traffic problems. Senior authorities claim that changes will be made as and when they are needed, without interfering with traffic flow.

When the Lulu Group inaugurated their mall in thiruvananthapuram in 2021, there was a similar chaotic scene that caused traffic to back up onto the main highway. According to a KPHB traffic police officer, the long weekend, which witnessed an increase in heavy traffic from thursday to Monday, was the main cause of the traffic gridlock. Contrary to reports that there were no police present throughout the turmoil, over 150 traffic inspectors, sub-inspectors, and constables have been deployed since friday to deal with the issue.

During the holiday weekend, regular commuters and guests to the recently opened Mall discussed their unfavorable encounters. B Regular commuter kranthi Kiran claimed that because of the traffic, it took him an hour and a half to get to the mall's entrance. The parking at the mall was filled to capacity, according to KPHB traffic police inspector narasimha Rao, as shoppers rushed to the city's newest retail center. From the Rythu Bazaar to Lulu Mall, 100 cement blocks and barriers were installed to separate lanes and facilitate easier traffic movement.

Hyderabad internet users also used social media to post images and videos of the jam. While some advised patience and suggested delaying a trip to the mall, others provided personal anecdotes underlining the significance of quick access to medical facilities. One pondered what would happen to people stranded in ambulances in the event of a traffic delay.
