Telangana Hyderabad Airport awarded level 4 transition for carbon management
For its dedication to carbon control, GMR hyderabad international airport Ltd (GHIAL) has received the highest distinction. The airport has received Airports Council international (ACI) Level 4 Transition accreditation, demonstrating its adherence to international climate goals. The industry standard for evaluating an airport's efforts to minimize carbon emissions is determined by the airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) program, which ACI europe launched in 2009. The highest level in this program is Level 4 Transition, which GHIAL has achieved.

Numerous awards, including the "National Energy leader Award," "Excellence-Gold Award," "Excellence Award," and "Special Award" at the telangana State Energy Conservation Awards, as well as the "Certificate of Merit" from BEE for receiving the highest National Energy Conservation Award score, attest to the airport's efforts. In order to promote excellence in the aviation sector, ACI works in partnership with governments, regional members, and international organisations like ICAO to shape airport standards around the globe.
