The BRS brought up a number of issues before the election commission team led by CEC Rajiv Kumar, which is on a three-day visit to the state starting on Tuesday, including symbols resembling party "car" symbols, political misinformation on social media, use of telugu in election guidelines, and the requirement to increase election expenses.

"In addition to utilising the same emblems as BRS party candidates, they are also using names and surnames that are exactly the same. BRS leader Soma Bharat informed the ec team that this dishonest tactic was confusing voters and diverting BRS votes. Additionally, Bharat underlined the significance of using law enforcement to combat political disinformation.

"We have asked the ec to order law enforcement, in particular the police and civil authorities, to take urgent action in response to political disinformation on social media and YouTube. Action should be taken right once to halt the broadcast, publishing, and distribution of this offensive, unfounded social media information, he said.

Bharat brought attention to the difficulties candidates have in keeping spending within the allowed budgets, particularly when observers charge candidates' accounts for goods like flags, hats, T-shirts, and party-themed towels. BRS sought the ECI to enhance the expenditure cap by an additional 20 lakh due to the ongoing rise in petrol prices and other campaign consumables.
