No need to travel to Hyderabad for any treatment from now onwards
The health minister said that before telangana was established, only affluent and privileged children of physicians and other professionals studied MBBS, but that since the State has multiplied the number of medical colleges, children of daily wage earners were also enrolled in MBBS programmes. Rao said that 25 students from other areas of the country will enrol in the institution, which had 175 places, while telangana residents could only apply for the remaining seats.
He said that the addition of students from delhi will only serve to highlight the precise changes made to the State. Rao, however, has stated that there would be no need to travel to hyderabad in order to receive such treatment as there will be every facility in government Hospital Siddipet. Up till now, patients used to go to gandhi and Osmania Hospitals for super-specialty care. According to the health minister, a foundation has also been set for a cancer-specific structure.
Rao went on to describe the hospital's medical facilities, claiming that they included a 30-bed emergency ward, 100 ICU beds, a 100-bed dialysis facility, 15 operating rooms, and 8 modular operating rooms. He said that a 50-bed super speciality critical care block would soon be constructed as well. Rao stated that the Medical campus will have 875 patients and that there were 13 PG departments in the campus, with plans being made to get authorization for three more.
He has stated that there would be 280 doctors working at the hospital, along with 150 house surgeons. According to the minister, the facility will offer medical treatments ranging from life-saving conditions to first aid. Rao has said that Ensanpally hamlet has transformed into a Banjara Hills-like location on the outskirts of siddipet town as a result of the construction of a Medical college, Hospital, and many other structures. According to the minister, each acre of land here is worth between Rs 2 crore and Rs 3 crore to the landowners. v Roja Sharma, the chairwoman of the zilla parishad, Dr. Vimala Thomas, the principal of the college, and others were present.
