Humanoid robots in Amazon warehouses...!?

Globally renowned retail giant amazon, as part of its efforts to automate its operations, has introduced humanoid robots (Humaid Robots) in one of its warehouses in the US on a trial basis. The two-legged robots are capable of picking up and lifting objects, according to the Guardian news agency. It is noted that this test was carried out by shifting the empty boxes in the warehouse. However, this new release has raised concerns about the robot's impact on the workforce of a company with nearly 1.5 million employees. But Ty Brady, Amazon's chief technology officer for robotics, said that while this would cut some redundant jobs, humans still have plenty of other jobs to do. However, it is also worth noting that a labor union said that amazon has been "treating their workers like robots for years". We've already seen hundreds of jobs disappear," Stuart Richards, organizer of the UK trade union GMB, was quoted as saying.

The robot was developed by a start-up company in Corvallis, Oregon. Rather than wheels, these Digit humanoid robots walk on legs. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 65 kg. These robots can walk backwards, forwards and sideways, and can even crouch. It is designed to pick up and move objects.
