Will Raghav Chadha have to vacate existing Type-7 government bungalow?
Reportedly aam aadmi party (AAP) leader and rajya sabha mp Raghav Chadha said on october 17 that our fight is
not a fight to save any house or shop, but a fight to save the Constitution of India. This reaction of Raghav
Chadha has come after the delhi High court canceled the trial court’s order canceling the allotment of his
official residence (Raghav Chadha Bungalow Row). He said, I thank the Honorable delhi High court for
setting aside the trial court order, which was against me. He further said, This is the first time that a Rajya
Sabha member has been targeted in this manner. Till now I have given two speeches in parliament holding
the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government accountable. After my first speech, I Official residence
was cancelled. My membership as an mp was suspended after my second speech. Apart from this, Raghav
Chadha further said that he is happy that truth and justice won in the end.
patiala house court order canceled
Let us inform that on october 17, 2023, the delhi High court canceled the order of the patiala house court,
in which the rajya sabha Secretariat was allowed to evict Chadha from his official residence in the national
capital. The order of delhi High court is being considered as a big relief for AAP rajya sabha mp Raghav
Chadha. For the time being, the court also said that Raghav Chadha will not have to vacate the existing
Type-7 government bungalow. Justice Anup J Bhambhani, who is hearing the case, said that the stay order
passed by the lower court against the rajya sabha Secretariat will remain intact.
