Does international law broken by India's warning to Canada?
Following a phone discussion with his 41 ambassadors, Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau declared that India's actions against its diplomats were illegal under international law. Trudeau claims that the withdrawal of 41 Canadian diplomats' diplomatic immunity by the indian government violates the Vienna Convention. In a statement, Trudeau brought up the matter and stated, "Millions of people in both countries are finding life difficult as a result of the action taken by the indian government against Canadian diplomats." The happiness of the millions of Canadians with ties to the indian subcontinent worries me.The Vienna Convention: What is it?An international agreement on diplomatic relations, the Vienna Convention was signed in 1961 by sixty-one nations.
