Israel - Hamas War : Rishi Sunak says Hamas cares more about paymasters in Iran than children

The extremist Hamas organisation that assaulted israel on october 7 was criticised by UK prime minister Rishi Sunak on Tuesday, claiming that they "care more about their paymasters in iran than the children they hide behind." In addition to israel, Sunak claims that Hamas poses a threat to a number of other nations in the area.

Sharing a snippet from his address on X, Sunak said, “We will work together with the international partners to bring renewed energy and creativity to this effort. We must never lose sight of how essential the two-state solution is.”

It will also entail opposing policies that sabotage justifiable goals of Palestinian statehood.

"To be clear, there is no scenario in which Hamas can take control of Gaza or any other area within the Palestinian territories," he stated.

Sunak also stressed that all the leaders he met recently have agreed that the war is a “watershed moment”.

“It's time to set the region on a better path,” he said.
