The government claims that the number ofcases of stubble burning is less this year compared to last year.Officials said that till Sunday, 714 cases of stubble burning have been reported. In an official statement here onMonday, it was said that the state government is actively taking concrete steps for stubble management, which isyielding positive results. According to the statement, There has been a significant reduction in the cases ofstubble burning in the state this year compared to last year. Only 714 cases of stubble burning have beenreported so far whereas 893 cases were reported during the same period in 2022.Government took the issue of stubble burning seriouslyIn 2021, the number of stubble burning cases was much higher at 1,508, while paddy harvesting has been goingon in haryana for more than a month, the statement said. According to the statement, the haryana governmenthas taken the issue of stubble burning seriously and in collaboration with farmers has made significant progressin reducing such cases.
