Palestinians lost 21 times more lives than Israelis...?

The Israel-Hamas conflict has lasted for twenty days, and there is still no indication that it will end. october 7, young Hamas militants launched a devastating attack against Israeli territory. In that incident, around 1400 people lost their lives. Since then, israel has been attacking Hamas locations in Gaza. Based on data provided by the Hamas health Ministry, Israeli attacks have claimed the lives of over 5800 individuals to far. That being said, the conflict between israel and palestine is not brand-new. Although there have been airstrikes by both sides over the years, the fact that these kinds of incidents have happened so infrequently is another story.

The statistics on deaths and injuries in israel and palestine, which spans the months of january 2008 through september 2023, has been made public by the United Nations Office. It states that 308 Israelis and 6,407 Palestinians have died as a result of bombs from both sides. Put simply, one Israeli citizen has died for every twenty-one Palestinians who have been killed. In such a scenario, it is evident from these numbers that the two sides' respective numbers of dead and injured differ significantly.

Twenty-one Palestinians lost their lives

In 2008, there were 33 Israeli citizens who died and 899 Palestinians who perished. Regarding injuries, there were 819 injuries to Israelis and 2325 injuries to Palestinians. In the year 2022, there were 21 Israeli people who lost their lives in the fighting; in contrast, 227 Palestinians lost their lives. Palestinian casualties over the past 16 years have exceeded Israeli casualties by a factor of 21.
