A 29-year-old Chinese woman working in singapore has now been sentenced for verbally abusing a nurse in Singapore. He has also been permanently barred from working in singapore for violating the Human Resources Act. The Chinese woman, Han Feizi, has been charged with two counts of falsely declaring that she worked as a clerk at KDL Elements in her work permit application. Not only that, it has been alleged that she was working as a freelance hostess at various places from august 1, 2023 to october 11, 2023 and was self-employed without proper work permit. Notably, Hahn pleaded guilty to the first charge against him, and the second charge against him was considered part of the sentence. Speaking to the media, a MOM spokesperson said Han's work permit has been revoked due to the conviction and he will be permanently barred from working in Singapore.
Singapore's Ministry of Manpower rules that work permit holders can only be employed in the jobs specified on their permit and only for a designated employer. Making a false declaration is a serious offense punishable by a fine of up to S$20,000 or imprisonment for up to two years or both.
