Multiple explosions rock Christian prayer meeting in Kochi - One Dead

Many explosions occurred at a prayer service held by Jehovah's Witnesses in the Kalamassery neighbourhood of Kochi, Kerala, on sunday morning, resulting in one fatality and many injuries, according to authorities. The first explosion happened at approximately nine in the morning, according to Kalamassery CI Vibin Das. Several explosions occurred over the course of the following hour.

The three-day summit, which began on october 27, ended on Sunday. When the explosions occurred, around 2,000 people were present at the prayer service, according to authorities. At 9.40 a.m., there was an explosion at the Zamra international Convention Centre. The blast injured about 23 persons.


According to eyewitness reports, three explosions occurred within a few minutes of each other. Five individuals' conditions are still quite serious. According to Jehovah's Witnesses regional spokesperson TA Sreekumar, three explosions occurred within the conference hall at about 9:45 a.m., mathrubhumi.com was informed.
