Violence is not the solution to any problem, Rajnath Singh in Mizoram
Amid opposition attacks over violent incidents in Manipur, Union Defense minister rajnath singh has said that
the Northeast has been peaceful in the last 9 years, although we have suffered due to violence in Manipur.
Addressing a public meeting in view of the Mizoram assembly elections, he said, I want to say honestly that
the violence in Manipur was not instigated by any political party, rather a situation was created there in which
the situation worsened. Voting for assembly elections is to be held in Mizoram on 7 November. The violence
here in Manipur is a big issue. rajnath singh said, We believe that unless the Northeast is truly developed, the
dream of a strong, prosperous, self-reliant india will not be fulfilled. During this, he also mentioned the
Manipur violence. Defense minister said,
Need to talk from the heart
Rajnath Singh appealed to the Meitei and Kuki communities in Manipur to sit together, have a heart-to-heart talk
and end the trust deficit. He said, “Violence is not the solution to any problem. We need to have a heart-to-heart
conversation.”
Rahul gandhi scratched the wounds
Rajnath Singh accused congress of doing politics regarding Manipur violence and said that there is a need to
keep the entire country including Mizoram and North-East away from the negative politics of Congress. Singh
said that when the situation in Manipur had deteriorated, congress had tried its best to do politics in the matter.
Despite their refusal, their leader (Rahul Gandhi) visited Manipur and healed the wounds of the people.
