Voting will take place only for 8 hours in 3 districts of Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh is ready for assembly elections. Voting for the assembly elections will be held in the state on

november 17. The election commission has fixed the time for voting. According to the election commission,

voting will be held for only 8 hours on some of the 230 assembly seats in the state. Whereas, 11 hours time has

been fixed for voting in the remaining assembly seats. According to Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan, the

voting process will continue in the state from 7 am to 6 pm on november 17. A notification in this regard has

been issued by the election commission of India.

Voting at these centers from 7 am to 3 pm

Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said that the voting process will run from 7 am to 3 pm on some assembly

seats of Balaghat, Mandla and Dindori districts of the state. In this, voting will be held from 7 am to 3 pm at all

the polling stations of three assembly constituencies Baihar, Lanji and Paraswada of Balaghat district, 8 polling

stations under Bichiya and Mandla assembly constituencies of Mandla district and 40 polling stations of Dindori

district. The process will continue. Whereas in the remaining polling centers of the state, the voting time has

been fixed from 7 am to 6 pm.

Mock poll will be held before voting

Rajan told that the process of mock poll will be started from 5.30 am, one and a half hour before the start of

voting. This process will take place in the presence of the candidate or his authorized agent. If a candidate or his

agent does not appear at the polling station at 5:30, he will be made to wait for 15 minutes. After this, the process

of mock poll will be started in the presence of polling parties and other members. There is a provision to conduct

mock poll with minimum 50 percent votes, in which NOTA will also be included. Before starting the process of

mock poll, the ballot unit and VVPAT will be kept in the VVPAT compartment. The control unit will have to be

kept on the table of the presiding officer or the table of the polling officer.
