"Pepsi has modified its product's design to feature Palestinian culture," according to the caption on the widely shared photo, but Pepsi Co. has not made any formal claims regarding this. The data-facebook account wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital Alfaaz is credited with creating and sharing the first viral photo. The photo was captioned, "Pepsi Gaza introduces new designs to its products, showcasing Palestinian culture and heritage."
In recognition of the 58 percent of Palestinian consumers who preferred Pepsi flavor, the multinational corporation at the time introduced two of its products with a new look: "Pepsi Cola" and "Pepsi Max."
Users of X took to the platform to vent their rage, implore others not to fall for this trick, and carry on the product boycott.
"In order to circumvent the boycott, the Israeli manufacturer PEPSI altered the design and added the word Palestine. Avoid falling for this trick. One more person wrote, "Continue the boycott of the COKE and PEPSI brands."
