And, the earthquake that happened on friday midnight filled nepal with great sadness. A large number of houses were destroyed. The death toll from the earthquake has reached 157 as of Saturday. Deputy prime minister Narayan Kazi Shrestha said on saturday that the government is trying to provide as much assistance as possible to the affected areas. Officials said at least 105 people died in Jajarkot district, a largely agricultural region, and 52 in neighboring Rukum district. Another 184 people were injured.
