Samajwadi party (SP) chief akhilesh yadav on sunday claimed that congress had stopped the implementationof caste census and Mandal Commission recommendations in the past and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) was also adopting a similar stand today.During an election rally in Jatara assembly constituency of Tikamgarh district of madhya pradesh, Akhileshsaid that congress and bjp are talking about caste census and reservation to woo PDA i.e. backward classes,Dalits and tribals in the elections. Because both the parties have realized the strength of these sections. He said,If any party has stopped (implementation) of the recommendations of Caste Census and Mandal Commission inthe country, then it is Congress. Now bjp is also moving on the same path. Akhilesh said, See the miracle ofthe issue of caste census that has been raised that now congress is saying that caste census should be conducted.At the same time, bjp, which has been against reservation for backward classes, is also talking about castecensus today. elections have come, so both the parties have understood the power of PDA.Resolution of “Socialist Pension” SchemeQuoting the party's manifesto released for the madhya pradesh assembly elections, the SP chief said that hisparty will support the caste census, 27 percent reservation for Other backward classes (OBC) and MadhyaPradesh government's Laadli Behna scheme for women. Expresses resolve for a better “socialist pension”scheme. He said that under the “Socialist Pension” scheme, an assistance amount of Rs 3,000 will be providedevery month to the beneficiaries. Criticizing the narendra modi government at the Centre, Akhilesh claimedthat the youth joining the armed forces under the Agniveer scheme will not get martyr status and financialassistance for making supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh questioned whether the government which makes such half-bakedprovisions for the soldiers, can be called “nationalist”? He alleged that in madhya pradesh, women data-face thehighest atrocities in the country, while the situation of oppression of Dalits and tribals is also serious.
