Archer Aviation, a company backed by airlines such as Boeing and United airlines, is developing electric-powered aircraft (eVTOL). Experts predict that these air taxis will be the main vehicle for future urban transport. Such 'Midnight' e-planes can travel around 161 kilometers with four passengers and one pilot. The service is said to be launched in the capital cities of delhi, mumbai and Bengaluru with 200 air taxis.
