Reportedly shiv sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said that maratha reservation will be discussed in the

meeting held on thursday between party president uddhav thackeray and nationalist congress party (NCP)

chief Sharad Pawar. There was discussion about the political situation arising due to the increased demand for

and the preparations for the upcoming lok sabha and assembly elections.

Talking to reporters, Raut said that the meeting between thackeray and Pawar took place at the ncp (Sharad

Pawar faction) president’s residence silver Oak and it lasted for about one and a half hours. He said,

“Congress leaders were not present in the meeting as they are busy campaigning for the assembly elections

being held in five states. uddhav ji and Pawar Saheb discussed the political situation arising in Maharashtra

after the protests demanding maratha reservation and the stand to be taken by the opposition on it.

Discussion on election strategy and seat sharing

The shiv sena (UBT) mp said that if maharashtra assembly elections are held along with the Lok Sabha

elections, then what should be the strategy of the opposition at that time and the seat sharing formula was also

discussed. He said that the final meeting will be held in Delhi. Raut said that there is no disagreement among

the maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) constituents regarding seat sharing and everything will be decided smoothly.

The MVA includes shiv sena (UBT), Sharad Pawar-led ncp and Congress. All three parties (when Shiv

Sena and ncp were not divided) came to power in maharashtra in november 2019 but the Uddhav

Thackeray-led government fell after the rebellion in shiv sena under the leadership of Eknath Shinde in June

2022. Under Shinde’s leadership, 39 shiv sena MLAs formed the government with the Bharatiya Janata Party

and Eknath Shinde became the CM. ncp leader ajit pawar and eight MLAs also joined the Shinde

government in July this year.
