90 polling booths of MP will be in the hands of women workers
assembly elections in madhya pradesh are to be held on 17 November. Before this, strict action is being taken in
district elections on all four high profile seats of Sehore district of MP. All preparations have been completed for
voting in Sehore district. collector and district Election Officer praveen Singh informed that a total of 1238
polling stations have been set up to conduct voting in the four assemblies of the district. In this, 363 polling
stations have been made in Budhni, 335 in Ashta, 275 in Ichhawar and 265 in Sehore. The collector said that a
total of 6206 employees will conduct the voting. Among the employees who conducted voting, there are 4719
male and 1487 female employees.
90 such polling centers have been set up in the district, which will be completely operated by women workers.
661 women personnel have been put on duty in these polling booths. These women workers have also been given
special training to conduct the elections smoothly. In Budhni assembly, 162 women have been put on duty in 20
polling stations run by women workers. Similarly, 160 women personnel have been deployed in 25 polling
stations run by women personnel in Ashta, 60 women personnel have been deployed in 15 polling stations in
Ichhawar and 279 women personnel have been deployed in 40 polling stations in Sehore.
Duty imposed on 1487 women workers
A total of 1487 women workers have been put on duty to conduct voting in all four assemblies of the district. 402
women workers have been put on duty from Budhni assembly, 366 from Ashta, 184 from Ichhawar and 535 from
Sehore. 327 micro observers will be appointed to ensure free, fair and peaceful conduct of assembly elections.
They have been given training. 118 micro observers have been appointed in Budhni, 74 in Ashta, 23 in Ichhawar
and 139 in Sehore.
