A 26-year-old indian PhD student at the university of Cincinnati died after being shot inside a vehicle in Ohio a few days ago. According to the Hamilton County Coroner's Office, Aaditya Adlakha, a PhD student in the molecular and developmental biology programme, was shot on november 9 and died on november 18 at the university's medical facility.

Adlakha was discovered shot inside a car that had slammed into a wall on the Western Hills Viaduct by Cincinnati police. On november 9, residents reported hearing gunfire in the vicinity about 6:20 a.m. His automobile had been hit many times, and there were at least three bullet holes in the driver's side window. Adlakha was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead after being in serious condition for many days.

Adlakha's friends and acquaintances were stunned by the shooting, which was described as "sudden, tragic, and senseless" by the institution. Andrew Filak, Dean of the Cincinnati college of Medicine, told local media that Adlakha "was much-loved, exceedingly kind and humorous, intelligent and sharp, and his research was described as novel and transformative." According to the institute, Adlakha obtained the university Research Council's Graduate Student Stipend and Research Cost Programme funding last year to assist a research study on ulcerative colitis. He was supposed to finish his PhD in 2025.
