Pulled out the teeth of interrogators: Bail for Balveer Singh!?
Balveer Singh has been granted bail in the Ambasamudra teeth-pulling case. Ambasamutram ASP Balveer Singh was accused of pulling out the teeth of the undertrials in criminal cases and torturing them during the police investigation at Ambasamutram, Wickramasinghapuram and Kallidaikurichi police stations in Ambasamutram police division of tirunelveli district. Today, the trial of this case was held in the Nellie district First criminal Justice Arbitration Court. 15 policemen including ASP Balveer Singh appeared in presence of Justice Thiruveni. They were asked to be granted bail by the police.
The trial court granted bail to 15 persons including accused IPS officer Balveer Singh and police Inspector Rajakumari. Earlier, the CBCID police had filed a chargesheet against 15 accused including IPS officer Balveer Singh and police Inspector Rajakumari last week.
