'Tamil Nadu, Varanasi is the abode of Lord Shiva': PM Modi..!?

Prime minister Modi inaugurated Kashi tamil Sangam 2.0 in Varanasi. prime minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Kashi tamil Sangam 2.0 in varanasi, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. prime minister Modi, who is on a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency, inaugurated the second edition of Kashi tamil Sangh at Namo Forest on the first day of his visit. He also flagged off the Kashi tamil Sangamam Express train that runs between Kanyakumari and Varanasi. Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan and other leaders attended the function. The second edition of Kashi tamil Sangh (KTS) will be held from december 17-30, 2023. A celebration of the shared history and culture of North india and South India. The event aims to strengthen the bond between the two regions by sharing knowledge, culture and best practices.



The Kashi tamil Sangam is scheduled to be held from december 17 to 31, in which 1,400 dignitaries from tamil Nadu and puducherry are expected to participate. The first batch of tamil team along with a group of students from different parts of tamil Nadu arrived in varanasi earlier. Six more groups of teachers, professionals, spiritual guides, farmers and artisans, writers, traders and businessmen will come to varanasi later.


Apart from the cultural event, there will also be another exhibition showcasing art, music, handlooms, handicrafts, cuisine from both the states of tamil Nadu and Kashi. Lectures on literature, ancient texts, philosophy, spirituality, music, dance, drama, yoga and ayurveda are held at kasi tamil Sangam.


Meanwhile, when prime minister Modi spoke at the Kashi tamil Sangam, a new experiment was attempted. The Prime Minister's speech was translated for the tamil audience through AI-based Bashini technology. It was well received. Speaking on the occasion, prime minister Modi said, “You all have come here as members of my family rather than as guests. Welcome to kasi tamil Sangam. Today, new technology is used here through artificial intelligence (AI). It's a new beginning.. I hope it makes it easier to reach you."


PM Modi also said that "the work done in the last one year shows that there is an emotional bond between Kashi and Tamil. Coming from tamil Nadu to Kashi is like coming from the house of Mahadevan (Lord Shiva) to another house." The first edition of Kashi tamil Sangam was held from november 16 to december 16, 2022. More than 2500 people from tamil Nadu, representing 12 different levels, traveled on 8 tours to varanasi, Prayagraj and ayodhya where they got an in-depth experience of different aspects of life in and around Varanasi.
