Suspended MPs will not get entry even in Parliament Chamber?
There is a lot of uproar regarding the suspension of opposition MPs from Parliament. Altogether 141 MPs have
been suspended. Out of this, 95 MPs of lok sabha and 46 MPs of rajya sabha are included. At the same time,
a circular has been issued by the lok sabha secretariat for the suspended MPs. In this, the suspended MPs have
been prohibited from entering the parliament Chamber, Lobby and Gallery. The lok sabha circular read, After
suspension, the following consequences will have to be faced during the period of suspension. They (suspended
MPs) cannot enter parliament Chambers, Lobby and Gallery. If the suspended MPs were part of any
parliamentary committee, they will be considered suspended from that committee as well. No work of any kind
will be done in parliament in his name. Any notice given through them will not be accepted.
Had to lose even daily allowance
The circular further said, 'They do not have the right to vote in the elections of committees held during the
period of suspension. If he is suspended from the house even for the remaining session, he cannot be given
daily allowance. The stay of MPs at the place of duty cannot be treated as residence on duty under section 2 (d)
of salary. The Allowances and Pension of Members of parliament Act, 1954, is amended from time to time.
Nationwide protest against suspension of MPs
In fact, on the issue of lapse in security of parliament, opposition MPs are demanding that Union Home
Minister amit shah should come to the house and give a statement. There was a lot of uproar in Parliament
regarding this, after which 141 opposition MPs were suspended. congress President mallikarjun Kharge has
said that protests will be held across the country on december 22 regarding the suspension of opposition MPs.
He says that the MPs had demanded a statement only through amit Shah.
