Indian Anti-Air Defence system flying to Armenia... 6000 crore deal..!?

While India's domestic arms production is increasing day by day, the list of countries to which indian companies export is also increasing. Based on this, armenia has now joined the ranks of the Philippines, vietnam, and Indonesia. india is going to export an anti-air system to armenia that can counter missiles produced locally. In addition to this, the export includes multi-barrel rocket launchers, artillery guns and ammunition, and drones.
As part of the deal worth around Rs 6,000 crore, deliveries of the akash anti-missile system manufactured by Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) are expected to begin soon. The indigenously manufactured akash system is already in use in the indian army and has also been contracted for export to vietnam and the Philippines. In november last year, kalyani Strategic Systems announced a $155 million contract for artillery pieces, also for Armenia. In April, the Union Defense Ministry approved the export of the anti-aircraft system. But the destination of these exports was kept a secret.
Similarly, in March, it is worth noting that the army bought two air defense systems in a contract worth Rs 8,160 crore. india has increased production of arms so there is no need to buy them from abroad. Similarly, a new door has been opened in the export segment to india through arms exports.
