A new twist has come in the maharashtra Sadan scam case. Now it has come to light that Food and CivilSupplies minister Chhagan Bhujbal’s troubles may increase in the maharashtra Sadan scam case. The court hasagreed to hear the application of three accused in the case to become witnesses to the apology. The special courtof bombay Sessions court has accepted the petition of the accused in the case.Who are those three accused?According to ABP Majha, three accused sunil Naik, Sudhir Salaskar and amit Balraj are arrested in theMaharashtra Sadan scam case. These three accused have filed applications to become pardon witnesses. In thiscase, the main accused Chhagan Bhujbal and others have filed an acquittal petition. However, the court hasaccepted the request of these three to stop this hearing and first take a decision on their application to becomewitnesses of our apology. The three accused had filed an apology letter before Judge rahul Rokade of theSpecial court of bombay Sessions Court. Accused sunil Naik, Sudhir Salaskar and amit Balraj had submittedan application for exemption from testimony. On this application, ED was directed to file its reply in the hearingon december 20. Current minister Chhagan Bhujbal is the main accused in this case.What is maharashtra Sadan scam case?While allowing slum rehabilitation on RTO land in Andheri, mumbai, the state government awarded a contractto the concerned company for the reconstruction of the maharashtra Sadan building in delhi as well as theconstruction of a rest house in Malabar Hill, Mumbai. No tender process was done for this work. Over time thecompany concerned entered into an agreement with another development company and sold the developmentrights. Earlier the developer got 80 percent profit, while the contractor establishment was expected to earn 20percent profit as per the state government norms. In this the establishment made a profit of Rs 190 crore. Theanti-corruption team alleges that Rs 13 crore 50 lakh was given to the Bhujbal family by the establishment.
