Champat Roy, general secretary of 'Ramajanmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust', which is responsible for the construction of the temple, said that the final decision will be taken in the first week of january regarding the idol of Rama, which is scheduled to be installed on january 22 in the grand ram mandir in Ayodhya. Three idols are currently being carved. Champat Roy has informed that a high-level committee will meet in the first week of january to decide which of these idols will be placed in the sanctum sanctorum.
